Dog Shot in the Hind End with Bird Shot - NEEDS OUR HELP!
Meet Kevlar ....

This adorable 11 month old mix was SHOT IN HIS HIND END WITH BIRD SHOT as he was running away from his assailant. He ran home to his owner who not only did not take him to the vet as soon as she saw his wounds, but she let him stay like this overnight AND the ENTIRE next day while she was at work. When she got home from work she put him in the TRUNK OF HER CAR so she would not get any blood inside her car, and drove him to the vet to have him EUTHANIZED!!!!

The vet could not in good conscience put this poor sweet dog to sleep. He had the owner sign over her rights and reached out to TN Death Row Dogs, a local rescue, who agreed to bring him into their program.
The wounds have been shaved and cleaned and he was neutered while he was sedated. Pellets continue to fall out slowly each day.
Poor Kevlar can't even stand up. We are not sure how long he will have to stay at the vet. He won't even stand up to pee. They have to clean his kennel out every few hours to keep it sanitary. They are worried about infection
Even with the excruciating pain that he is in, he is still sweet and gentle with the staff as they clean him and move him around. You can tell that he is thankful to have people helping him.

Kevlar will have quite a large bill with the vet by the time this is all over. This Chip-In will pay for all his vetting as well as the boarding fee for keeping him at the vet.
If you feel more comfortable making a donation directly to the vet you can contact them at: Animal Care Center of Carter's Creek, Columbia, TN. (931)489-9333.
Tell them it's for Kevlar under the TN Death Row Dogs Account.

THANK YOU for your compassion for Kevlar and his situation. THANK YOU for helping TN Death Row Dogs continue to be able to help the forgotten dogs of rural TN. Your donation, no matter how small, makes a huge difference!
THANK YOU!!!!
If you are interested in FOSTERING OR ADOPTING Kevlar, please send an e-mail to tndeathrowdogs@gmail.com and they will get an adoption application out to you!
